															WHO WE ARE ?
TAH – Centre for Innovations in Technology, Art and Humanities is an association and research organization founded in August 2024, dedicated to fostering transdisciplinary collaboration across technology, arts, humanities, and social sciences. We operate as a coordination and analytical hub that strategically connects individuals and organizations to jointly create sustainable and innovative solutions for global challenges.
Our mission is to foster dialogue between disciplines and create partnerships that harness the potential of art, social sciences, humanities, and new technologies for sustainable development. TAH has built a growing network of 60+ signatories to the TAH Manifesto, connecting academic institutions, cultural organizations, NGOs, and innovative companies from Czechia and beyond.
We are supported by International Advisory Board comprising global leaders including Hasan Bakhshi (Director of UK’s Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre), Prof. Jennifer Edmond (Trinity College Dublin, former President of DARIAH), Christoph Köller (German innovation expert in SHAPE), Caroline Parkinson (Director of Creative at Edinburgh Futures Institute), and Prof. Andrew Perkis (NTNU).
Our work focuses on four key areas: education, policy influence, innovation, and public engagement.
WHY WE ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE PROJECT ?
TAH is participating in TransInnovate because the project directly addresses our core mission of breaking down traditional barriers between technology, arts, and humanities in education.
Our participation allows us to transform our insights and analysis into concrete educational methodologies and tools. The project provides an opportunity to systematize and scale the transdisciplinary approaches we have piloted through our educational programs, making them accessible to educators across Europe’s higher vocational and higher education sectors.
TransInnovate aligns perfectly with our strategic priorities. Our 2024 Policy Brief identified education and capacity building as critical areas requiring intervention to remove barriers to inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration. This project enables us to move from analysis to action, developing the practical frameworks, AI-enhanced tools, and training programs that the sector urgently needs.
The international consortium brings together partners with complementary expertise in H(VET) and higher education, allowing us to ensure our methodologies are practically applicable across diverse educational contexts. The project’s focus on creating sustainable resources – including a micro-credentialing system and One Stop Shop platform – ensures lasting impact beyond the project timeline.
Most importantly, TransInnovate provides a platform to demonstrate that meaningful integration of technology, arts, and humanities perspectives is not only possible but essential for preparing learners to address complex societal challenges.
OUR ROLE IN THE PROJECT
As Work Package 2 leader, TAH holds primary responsibility for establishing the research and analytical foundation of TransInnovate. We lead the comprehensive needs analysis combining desk research and quantitative surveys, best practice research, and the development of the Methodological Framework and Guidelines that will underpin all project activities. Our expertise in transdisciplinary approaches ensures these foundational outputs are both theoretically rigorous and practically applicable.
In Work Package 3, TAH leads the development of the transdisciplinary capacity building course and the One Stop Shop platform. We bring our experience from developing two transdisciplinary educational programs and our deep understanding of AI-enhanced learning tools. Our team, including AI experts and educational designers, will create innovative learning materials that effectively integrate technology, arts, and humanities perspectives. We are also developing the AI-powered learning application that will support transdisciplinary learning.
For Work Package 4, TAH coordinates national pilot implementations, ensuring successful adaptation of course materials to different local contexts while maintaining pedagogical integrity. We support partner institutions with material adaptation and provide implementation guidance.
TAH’s role is crucial in ensuring that TransInnovate delivers not just theoretical frameworks but practical, innovative, and sustainable solutions for transdisciplinary education in Europe.
