Key Challenges in Implementing Transdisciplinary Approaches in Education
The analysis of the TransInnovate Erasmus+ survey results highlights several key challenges faced by educational institutions when implementing transdisciplinary teaching approaches.
Among the most frequently identified challenges are the lack of institutional support, limited resources for interactive teaching formats, rigid curricular structures, and the complexity of coordinating multiple disciplines and stakeholders. Respondents also pointed to the limited recognition and validation of transdisciplinary teaching within existing education systems.
The findings underline the need for systemic changes that would enable greater curricular flexibility and stronger institutional support for innovative teaching practices.
Within the TransInnovate project, partners will develop practical methodological guidelines aimed at supporting institutions in more effectively integrating transdisciplinary approaches into their educational provision.
