Artificial Intelligence: Opportunity and challenge in education

Based on 8 interviews conducted in Slovenia within the TransInnovate project, artificial intelligence (AI) emerges as both an important opportunity and a complex challenge in education.

Most experts see AI as a useful support tool for preparing teaching materials, analysing data, and organizing work. At the same time, they emphasize the importance of critical thinking, ethical use, and maintaining fundamental professional knowledge.

A key need identified is the development of training for responsible AI use, including understanding its limitations, validating outputs, and strengthening digital competencies.
