TransINNOVATE Presented to Leaders of All Slovenian Higher Vocational Colleges

The TransINNOVATE – Bridging Disciplines for Innovation project was presented during the annual meeting of principals and directors representing all 49 higher vocational colleges in Slovenia. The event brought together institutional leaders to discuss current developments, future priorities, and opportunities for strengthening higher vocational education.

The presentation of TransINNOVATE attracted significant interest from participants, particularly due to its innovative approach to transdisciplinary learning and its focus on developing competences needed to address complex societal and technological challenges. The project promotes collaboration across the fields of Technology, Arts, and Humanities (TAH), creating new opportunities for innovative teaching and learning practices.

During the meeting, participants were also informed about the upcoming TransINNOVATE online workshop, scheduled for 11 June 2026, which will provide an opportunity to review project progress, gather feedback, and discuss the next steps in programme development and implementation.

The project is currently developing a structured micro-credential programme consisting of a core transdisciplinary curriculum, advanced specialised modules, and dedicated learning pathways for principals and management staff. The programme addresses key topics such as transdisciplinary methodologies, arts-based approaches to learning, learning design and facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, and the use of artificial intelligence in transdisciplinary learning.

Delivered through a hybrid learning model that combines face-to-face activities, online collaboration, reflective practice, and mentoring, the programme aims to create high-quality, innovative, and transferable learning pathways for educators and institutional leaders.

The strong interest shown by principals and directors confirms the relevance of the TransINNOVATE approach and highlights the growing importance of transdisciplinary competences in the future development of higher vocational education across Slovenia and Europe.
